Standards Documentation

NetSPEX has the ability to generate a dynamic CAD standards manual using live information stored in the standards database. If and when changes are made to the standards database – whether for new projects, new clients, or modifications to an existing standard – the online CAD standards manual will update automatically to reflect those changes. The manual can be hardcopy or online.

The online CAD standards pages can be customized to include additional information as well as links to other online documentation. Users working with NetSPEX Designer can view the online CAD standards manual by right- clicking in the NetSPEX Designer window and choosing CAD Standards Manual from the context menu. The default CAD standards page appears in your web browser and displays each standard that is managed by the NetSPEX standards database.

Users can navigate through disciplines, drawing types, layers, and components as necessary, to choose the components of a standard they wish to print. A print wizard then steps through the process of printing the specified CAD standard or selected components. When the wizard is done, the desired print-optimized portion of the standards manual can be sent to a hardcopy printer.
